Nordic Digital Health & Education - NorDigHE
As a partner in the NorDigHE project, the Nursing Education at Copenhagen Professional University (KP) manages the project leadership for several of the project’s work packages. With a highly qualified team consisting of consultants, associate professors, senior lecturers, and assistant professors, KP contributes to the design and development of course structure, learning objectives, and teaching plans, among other things, by generating the academic and pedagogical content for the course. KP also plays a significant role in testing and evaluating both learning resources and learning activities for the finished learning elements in each module. Together with the other partners, KP’s project team participates in the design and development of learning activities such as e-learning, games, and quizzes.
KP is located in the Capital Region of Denmark and is the largest professional university in Denmark with more than 20,000 students, hosting the country’s largest nursing education program. In total, KP graduates approximately 4,300 professional bachelors annually, of which about 800 are nurses.
KP aims to ensure the development of competencies in technological understanding within the educational programs. Specifically, the nursing education program focuses on both technology application and understanding, including through the integration of health technology, development of competence courses for healthcare professionals, and research into telemedicine solutions. The KP campus includes, among other things, the Practice and Innovation House, which offers facilities that simulate real-life hospital and care settings. Here, students and researchers can develop and test new telemedicine solutions and professional skills.
KP has expertise and experience from similar projects, including participation in the Danish research project Technucation (www.technucation.dk). The project produced new knowledge through research on the technological understandings needed when professionals interact with technologies in their daily work. KP also has experience with user involvement from healthcare professionals, educators, and students.
KP’s goal is to integrate NorDigHE into the educational programs and thereby test and contribute to the development of curricula for scaling to other educational organizations in Scandinavia.
KP participates in NorDigHE with a project group consisting of: Line Hillersdal, Associate Professor; Kristina Grünenberg, Associate Professor; Marianne Eilsø Munksgaard, Senior Lecturer; Stine M.L. Nielsen, Senior Lecturer; Helle Bruhn, Senior Lecturer; Ulla Gars, Senior Lecturer and Project Leader; Lasse Overballe Nielsen, Assistant Professor; Louise Hegested, Assistant Professor; Berit Jelsbak Mortensen, Consultant; Mukarram Hussain, Consultant; Johanne Sindberg Østergaard, Student Assistant; Grete Brorholt, Research Leader.
